Is Mmusi Maymane the answer for Gauteng?

Seeing Mmusi Maymane (premier candidate of the DA in Gauteng) on stage talking to the people of Soweto gave me that real " I have a dream" feeling. 

I was really really impressed with Mmusi!! With someone like him around I feel there is still hope for our great country.

Baby Giraffe at Krugersdorp Nature Reserve

Sometimes I really love my job!! I mean its note every day that you get to play with a baby giraffe! 

Below are a couple of images of Baby X the giraffe (5days) who was abandoned by his mother. He is being cared for by Wayne Muller the general manger of the Lodge at Krugersdorp Nature Reserve as well as Bernard Toonhaar who is a game Ranger.

5150 Triathlon at Germiston Lake

On Sunday morning I had the privilege to see some amazing competitors take part in the 5150 Triathlon in Germiston.

The series below shows Kevin Garwood competing with his son, Nicholas (15). He tows Nicholas in a kayak for the 1.5km swim, cycles with him in a modified bicycle for the 40km cycle and he then pushes him in a three wheel cart for the 10 km run.

Below is a series of pics featuring Stan Andrews who competed in the triathlon with one leg. 

 I hope this will show people that anything is possible and with enough determination anything can be accomplished.
